Spotswood Cricket Club
Free cricket clinics offer from Spotswood Cricket Club and more

The Spotswood Cricket Club is an outstanding sporting club that has worked hard for decades to provide a fantastic place for everyone to play cricket in metropolitan Melbourne. This year, we’ll have opportunities for girls, boys, men and women of all ages to get involved, and we want to make sure the Wembley Primary School community doesn’t miss out.
In-school clinics this spring
In partnership with Cricket Victoria we’re offering FREE, fun cricket skills clinics for your students this spring.  The clinics may be tailored to any age group and are suitable for all students.  We’ll bring all the necessary equipment - all we need from you is your preferred date for the clinic and supervision assistance from the teachers on the day.
Interested? Call us and let’s talk details. To confirm a booking, we’ll need to know the number of students, age group, any special needs, and your requested dates/times.
Schools competition - Westgate Shield
In partnership with Cricket Victoria we are running an 8-a-side cricket teams competition with local schools (currently scheduled for the second week in October).  There will be FREE entry for schools to enter two teams  - one for boys grades 5-6 and one for girls grade 5-6.

We are looking to give each player a cap in school colours and a Shield will be awarded for the boys and the girls winning school.

Please register via our Junior Administrator by 17 August 2018.
Have-a-go session for girls and women
We’re starting a new all-girls under 13s cricket team this summer, and a new women’s development team. We’ll be running a special girls’ and women’s have-a-go session, and we’d love to see your students, staff or family members join us on the day. We’ll send through updated flyers with full details once the time and venue are confirmed, but for now – spread the word, and save the date!
Join the club and get social
We welcome anyone from the school community to join our cricket club community whether as players or social members.  We will be running our club launch at our clubrooms from midday on Sunday 7 October
For those wanting to play we have teams suitable for all ages, abilities and genders.  We have great value social memberships on offer and run a number of special social events during the season.  For further details please take a look at our website

Background of the Seddon Cricket Club

The Seddon Cricket Club is a community minded and family orientated cricket Club, based in Yarraville Gardens on Hyde Street, Footscray. Founded in 1924, we have a long and distinguished history in cricket and the community in Melbourne’s inner western suburbs.

The Seddon Cricket Club is a great place to play cricket, with new members commenting that we have an extremely friendly and relaxed Club environment which welcomes anyone who wants to play or has a child participating. The Yarraville Gardens and the clubrooms situated on Harris Street, are very pleasant places to meet and watch cricket.

The Junior teams are based upon local kids from the Yarraville and Seddon areas, with kids of all nationalities and abilities. We have teams in the Under 11, 13, and 15 age groups that are coached and administered by volunteers.

We also run a Cubs program that has children from 7-10 years of age.  We run a program that is sponsored by Woolworths and Cricket Victoria for children from 5-7.
